Eyelash Viper (Bothriechis schlegelii), La Selva Biological Station
This beautiful snake is an ambush predator that can remain in place for days at a time, waiting for its prey to pass in front of it. It is incredibly variable, and I saw two colors morphs at La Selva: this bright golden viper, and another mossy gray-green individual.
